Boodles Restaurant in Madison Heights

I have enjoyed Boodles for years. Second time we've had Thanksgiving dinner here. Everything was wonderful! I also recommend the chocolate martini. I tried mine with a shot of espresso. Perfect.

place and music are good. i do wish the pianist played more mezzoforte and below with occassional forte rather than Fortissimo and above most the time. couldn't really talk at the table.

I loved it! Joe, Greg and Ruthanne are great!!! Matt and Kit are a couple of fresh faces also! I had lamb chops and couldn't of been happier! My lover had oysters and filet Oscar! I spoil her!!!

First time there tonight. What a little gem! We had Tatiana as our waitress. Loved her! Great entertainment. Great food.

Service was pretty awesome. She said she was there for 20 years so she was very knowledgeable about the dishes. My daughters birthday dinner came out under cooked and by time we had the opportunity to send it back the rest of the table was done eating. They offered to up cook or recook but we declined because it already took 45 mins to get the food, because the pizza on the table had made to order dough. (Yum!) So it wasn't the greatest meal but it wasn't entirelydisappointing. The guy on the piano played happy birthday for my daughter so that made her night.

Visiting town and came across this place through the reviews. It was so good! I had the Steak Stewart and it was probably the best steak I've ever had! The combination of stuffed cheese, mushrooms, onions, all in a port wine sauce.... oh man. Delicious!

Love this restaurant! Amazing service and food. High end but well worth it. Be sure to try the Seafood Strudel....mouth wateringly delicious. Oysters in the half shell are also yummy.

My boyfriend and I chose this place for a date night on a whim. Noticed first, the prices were a bit high, however, I was hopeful. Tried one of their $32 signature steaks. To be frank, it left much to be desired. The plate was overwhelmed with what could be considered a SOUP instead of a sauce. Taste was a bit bland. Side consisted of trio of veggies. Both the broccoli and cauliflower were NOTICEABLY old. I paid $32 for this... My boyfriend had a salmon salad which he stated was good. Service was attentive and pretty good. Overall, IF we do happen to go back, I certainly won't make the mistake of spending as much money here, ESPECIALLY being as quality of food is not their top priority...

Cozy? More like nuts to butts. But the food is good! Almost as good as what you'll pay for it. And if you're into dinner theater, the wait staff is bitterly all in. Yet hey! Kudos to the management - they book a fine show. SurfZup!

I want to love it but the food has been on a downward spiral for the past couple years, it’s unfortunate because the ambiance of this place. It’s like an old song by billy Joel. Piano man complete with the piano player and the jar. Still it’s a great place for drinks!

It’s a quaint older place with great food, friendly staff and live piano music. Nice martinis.

I get to eat here a lot since I work in the area. I have to say their service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well organized consistently. Rates are fair and they serve large portions.

Nice off the radar spot to eat. Not a cheap spot....maybe like a $$$ rating. Enjoy the food and the live pianist.

I love this restaurant! They offer awesome meals, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I love a lot trying all their dishes. The food is always of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is friendly. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.

Very poor service. Dirty glasses and silverware. The couple seated next to us waited almost 10 minutes for a clean fork. I saw them constantly trying to get someone's attention. I had a dirty wine glass with old lipstick markings on it. Asked for a different glass. They dumped the wine out, rinsed, and used a towel to wipe out the same glass. I know this because the glass came back with the same old lipstick markings. If someone has a dirty glass do NOT try and use a rag to clean it. Just get a new clean glass. Food was cold when it arrived. Very sub par. Boodles used to be a good place to eat. Not sure what happened.

Definitely not worth the price. Both of me and my mothers food had to be sent back because they were undercooked and everything was very bland. I could see this restaurant being on kitchen nightmares honestly.

Excellent service. The server is VERY knowledgeable of the menu. Honestly a little fancy for me. But I am more of a burger and pizza guy. That was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. I will definitely return.

They offer a great variety of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always nice, prices are fair and the place is always kept clean.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Great food, really nice staff, bit darker then I'd care for but that's just me. Live piano man was there when we where. It was really nice! For sure going back. FYI not really a kid place. Great place for a great meal on date night.

I am telling you this is an AWESOME place to eat!!! Joe, our server was so attentive and great to us!! We wished we had gotten to listen to the Piano Man, but ate a little too early. The food was DELICIOUS and the drinks YUMMY!! Loved the twilight setting!! Who would have thought?!!😁😁😁

It use to be a 4.5 score..there slipping. I took my wife there for dinner on Valentine's Day..disappointed in there old lobster tail. The building is old it doesn't seem they care to fix it up. I have eaten there a lot. I will give them a chance..if it's going to slip away I won't be back again

Our reservation to sit near the entertainment was ignored or forgotten. We seated ourselves near the bar and were unable to get a server's attention for over 30 minutes, then were never offered food menus. The band was excellent, but we had one quick drink and left... The 2-star rating is given only because they hired good entertainment.

A staple in the area. Reminds me of Peabodys that was in Birmingham.

Friend and I had the rack of lamb and they brought it out and set it on fire. First off it was cold, how could the lamb be cold if it was just cooked and then set on fire? There was no flavor to the lamb, I’ve never had to use so much salt and pepper to try and save the meal. And when we told the waitress that it was bland, the only response we got was a combative one from the chef “if I get any complaints it’s usually that it’s over seasoned”. They didn’t seem to care that the food was sub par.

Food is very good, as is Wendy, our server! The place looks like a complete dump from the outside. I would NEVER go there if my friend didn't ask to meet there. The inside? Couldn't really tell. It was so dark, I couldn't see where I was stepping.Very expensive!!! The food is almost worth it, but the ambiance is NOT.

I love Boodles! We've been there many times. It has a comfortable, intimate bar and eating setting. Service is always good. Food is always very good with good sized portions. During the week they have a piano player named "Joe" who truly is fabulous and plays oldies that everyone knows and current pop hits. The music can get a little loud, depending on where you're sitting, but it's so good, who cares! Boodles reminds me of neighborhood piano bars that you find in NYC. A true favorite of ours and a hidden gem.
